Little Caesars new Crazy Puffs menu item has the internet going crazy: 'Worth the hype'
View Date:2024-12-24 01:42:04
The internet has a new food obsession - and for once, it's an extra affordable one.
Little Caesars, the pizza company known for its budget "hot and ready" options, released its new Crazy Puffs on March 11, offering a new handheld option to fast food fans.
Described by the company as "bite-sized pockets of pizza perfection," the treats are mini pizzas wrapped in a crust cup with the classic red sauce, cheese, optional pepperoni and topped with a drizzle of garlic butter.
A pack of four puffs sells for $3.99 and they can be added a side to pizza orders to make a fuller meal.
Repurposing the classic pizza to make it more portable may not seem groundbreaking - but according to the internet, the Crazy Puffs may be one of the best things to hit the fast food scene since sliced pizza.

Little Caesars Crazy Puffs: Taste tests take over social media
The puffs have gone unexpectedly viral on social media, with influencers and normal people alike posting their taste tests and reviews.
If the many posts flooding TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) are any indication, people are overwhelmingly pleased with the experience. Some have even gone as far as to call the puffs their favorite product on the Little Caesars menu now or ever.
"Absolutely perfect," said one X user, rating the puffs 100/10. A commenter beneath the post agreed, sharing a picture of an empty Crazy Puffs box and saying "3 mins flat. I honestly don’t even need to eat the second box but imma do it anyway. I’m never finna get this weight off."
"I found out about these Monday. I’ve had them 3 times since then 😭 I’m so ashamed but they are so good and the perfect size for me," another commenter said on Little Caeser's Instagram post about the puffs. Another under the same post said "Haven’t had Little Caesar’s in yeeeeeears, but had to try these. 10 out of 10 😋."
Many users did suggest a side of marinara, saying the puffs lack a little something without a sauce to dip it in. Some people who were less impressed pointed to a lack of sauciness as the source of their distaste, but others said the breadier texture was exactly what they were looking for.
"I'm trying to figure out what makes this pizza bite so good," said popular TikToker @jordan_the_stallion8 in a video with 6 million views, "I don't know what they put in these things but it can't be legal," he joked.
Similar posts on the platform showed people opening their boxes and biting into the puffs, which are apparently much better fresh, according to reviewers.

'Worth the hype': Social media users (mainly) give Little Caesars Crazy Puffs rave reviews
Like any new food product, some people online were not fans. Primary critiques included the price compared to the $5 full pizzas, the lack of sauce or dipping sauce, the quality of the puffs degrading as soon as they are not fresh/cool down, inconsistent quality, and simply that they're just the same few ingredients configured a slightly different way.
However, posts seemed overwhelmingly positive, something of a rarity on social media in 2024. With so many people agreeing, plenty of commenters argued that the puffs are "worth the hype" or said they had been convinced to try them by the rave reviews.
Some other people who aren't so excited about the product? Some Little Caesars workers themselves, many of whom commented on several posts across platforms saying the puffs are hard or cumbersome to make and have backed up wait times significantly.
Some customers noted longer wait times as well, up to 30 minutes in some cases, as well as locations that have sold out or are not currently selling them at all.
"Please remove it I can’t stand making them anymore," said a commenter on a Little Caesars official post. "I cannot stand the sight of this thing. I never want to make another crazy puff as long as I live," said another.
"The idea is there, the execution is not. These are too time-consuming to make and to land," another worker complained, echoed by another employee saying, "These are hard to make please take them off."
If the number of positive posts are any indication, however, it seems unlikely Little Caesars will remove the Crazy Puffs anytime soon.
